I do a bit of writing, at least I call it writing. I have trouble with the rules about commas, where they go or maybe more importantly, don’t go; and the same with semi-colons.
I bought a book several months ago, The best Punctuation book, period by June Casagrande. I love the title! It’s small and compact and even I am able to figure out a few things which may give you cause for wonder as you read this. (No reflections on June please)
But looking through June’s book and reading some well known writers, and various posts on social media it occurred to me that writing is much like life in today’s society.
There are rules, but you can ignore them if you want.
