As I stepped out for my morning (early) walk, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful toenail moon (nod to Ashley) which had been beaming so proudly just yesterday at the same time, was nowhere to be seen. The stars I had seen yesterday however were all still there and in their proper places. So, I was a bit puzzled.
As I walked I toyed with the thought that maybe our Creator was so disgusted with mankind and their wars that He had just turned it off.
But as I sat at my “thin place” (the bench at No. 5 tee remember) I began to see the moon, still a toenail one, peaking through those few clouds way to the east.
So we have a bit more time. 😎
I see how primitive peoples (and some not so primitive) could patiently watch and record the celestial positions of the moon and stars and come up with time and place. But me, I think I’ll just keep using my GPS.
The image I have for you this morning illustrates just one of the hazards of walking on the golf course in near darkness. But it’s only water. I’m usually dry by the time I get back to the house.😎
