Disclaimer: This is not what I had planned as I walked, to send you today. But decided after I polished it up a bit that this is what you get. Maybe tomorrow on the other one
My apologies if you’ve already seen this on another media.
………..
A bit foggy this morning…like the “Old Country.” Except there, on the path to Willie’s Wood, when the sun rises it’s over the North Sea and there’s little if any sound, and you don’t have to listen to the trucks on US 54. But it was still a nice morning.
All images were with my S21 phone. I missed getting an image of a heron on the lake, and he flew before I saw him.
And that reminded me of a pheasant hunting tip I got from Fred Meng many years ago. He said take a few steps, stop for a bit and look around, and you’ll be suprised at the birds that come up when you have paused. I found that to be true for hunting pheasants.
I also decided it’s good advice for walking and taking pictures. Sometimes a great picture is behind you, and if you don’t follow Fred’s advice you’ll probably miss it.
I think Fred’s pheasant hunting tip can work for our lives as well in this busy world in which we live.
Have a great day…don’t forget to pause and look around.
