Business and life lessons from the Hooker Lady Bulldogs
I don’t know about you, but I find life somewhat intimidating at times. Great News! The Hooker Lady Bulldogs are here to help you with that.
The Hooker Lady Bulldogs play in Oklahoma Class 2A. They have been totally destroying opponents lately and by really lopsided margins. This past Friday, the very good Kansas 6A Liberal Lady Redskins brought their game to town. Suddenly, our Lady Dogs found themselves on the other side of a lopsided score.
This is where your lessons start.
Lesson 1: Don’t be dismayed by what appears to be a disastrous turn of events. You can be like the Lady Bulldogs. Be cool and just keep working away.
Lesson 2: Like the Lady Bulldogs, don’t be intimidated by the size or status of your opposition or problem. Just keep pluggin’ away.
Lesson 3: Be like the Hooker Lady Bulldogs, and do not change the game plan that has served you well throughout the season.
Lesson 4: Be like the Hooker Lady Bulldogs, and don’t look for a single event to stem the tide. Just take it slowly, one point at a time which is what they actually did to finally snatch victory from what looked like a certain defeat.
Coach Stalder and the girls may have been the only ones in the Dog House and watching live-streamed across America by The HBN, (Hooker Bulldog Network), who were certain of the outcome.
Thank you, Coach Stalder and the Lady Dogs, for teaching us so well.
Thanks to KSCB Sports Director Brock Kappelmann for some of the verbiage and the stats, and the image.
The Hooker Lady Bulldogs trailed 26-9 early on, only to rally past the Liberal Lady Redskins to win 63-57.
Morgan Maloney banked in a three to beat the buzzer at the end of the first half to make it 30-26 Liberal at halftime.
Hollie Stalder led HHS with 23 points, and Mady Swayze had 16.
More lessons soon, as The Hooker Lady Bulldogs head to State.23
